Kala Ramnath uruppförde två stycken av brittiske tonsättaren Max de Wardener med London-symfonikernas stråksektion i London den 7 juli, rapporterar stråktidningen The Strad … under rubriken ”Violinist’s premiere honours pudding”. Tydligen är det ena stycket döpt efter rispuddingen payash.
De Wardener explains that the violinist’s playing was a central influence on the music: “She has a very soulful sound – it’s all about her affinity with the voice.” Ramnath agrees with the composer’s appraisal of her playing.
Bara i Indien! Eller åtminstone inte i Jante-Sverige.
Nu var det i julinumret, en blänkare om en konsert som komma skulle, inte en recension av något som faktiskt uppförts. Vi har letat igenom hela den brittiska pressen och hittar ingen recension. En fusionyttring gick obemärkt förbi.
